Herd Health

I will be booking dental appointments for February, and vaccination appointments for March. I would also like to encourage all horses getting a Fecal Egg Test to see if who needs deworming this spring and to make sure our current deworming protocol is working. Owners just need to leave me a poo sample (their horse's, not their own) in a ziplock bag, labeled with their horse's name.

I will be posting a sign up sheet for dental and vaccinations on the bulletin board: please fill out for your horse as soon as possible so I can book appropriate appointment times. If you don't remember what your horse was vaccinated for last year, and want the same thing, just right "same as last year".

Wolfgang needs his teeth floated, and vaccines depend on show plans...we haven't given him Strangles in a few years now. I try to minimize what he gets to the strictly necessary...up to you though, whatever fits in with the barn plan best. I probably won't be out to do a fecal in time, but not opposed if someone else is available to grab it! Baby Naef due any day!

Was just planning to do basic vaccines for Wolf...at least E/W/T and Rhino. He got stiff from flu last year so was going to ask kim what she thought about it. Will do fecal. Excited for impending baby news!

Sounds good, can't wait to be able to tell people when the baby arrives! I'm getting almost as impatient with this "being pregnant" as I was waiting for Spooky to decide to have Zora!
